Tania Bownes

TRE Provider
Cape Town
Massage Therapist

Nia teacher, Reflexologist, and Aromatherapist

In January 2012 I heard about a workshop being offered by David Berceli. I had never even heard of TRE, but thought it sounded like a fun thing to do for my own growth! After 4 days with this extraordinary man and seeing the incredible changes in me (and the other 65 people on the workshop), I immediately signed up for the full training. I had been involved with bodywork since 1994 (aromatherapy and reflexology) as well as other body, mind spirit modalities. In 2003 I trained as a Nia teacher and have been teaching ever since, so the body centred approach for TRE really appealed to me. In 2013 Fascia Release therapy was a natural add on from TRE and today that is my primary form of bodywork.

I believe the body knows how to self heal, given the chance. We are all born into perfection but life can throw us a little off course, so to speak. TRE is a most magical tool to bring the nervous system back to regulation. A tool for life. Organic. Easy to learn. Zero chemical induced “side effects”. All animals do it and since we too are mammals, it is one of our inbuilt mechanisms to self regulate. I am passionate in my belief that we truly can self heal. No exceptions. Just a little love along the way!
